Ever since ArticleBot came out a couple of years ago, there has been a deluge of other article spooling, changing, crunching, twisting, and spinning programs released.
Basically, these programs and scripts were developed in the attempt to provide an easy way to make articles unique. Supposedly, you could just grab a few Private Label Rights (PLR), input them into your article spinner, and have hundreds - even thousands - of unique variations. Put them all on a site and voila! Instant unique articles and content. No Google supplemental results or duplicate content penalty.
The reality, though, isn’t nearly so pretty. If it were, we’d all be using this software to create websites, articles, reports, maybe even whole ebooks!
Most of these programs rely on changing words in articles with synonyms. What they don’t account for, though, is that the English language is filled with words that have multiple meanings. You can’t just replace a word with a synonym unless you know which meaning of the word is actually intended.
For instance, if I have an article about ducks and it talks about their “web” feet, I don’t want an article spinner to change that to “internet” feet. It wouldn’t make much sense, would it?
My experience is that a whole article run through one of these spinners basically ends up being pretty unintelligible. Let me show you the results from one of the latest spinners to come out. I took an old PLR article on helping children to lose weight. Here is what this new spinner came up with:
“Helping Your Child Lose Weight” was changed to “Helping Your Child be unable to find Weight”
“My mother, out of love and fear, tried everything to help me lose weight” was changed to
“My mother, out of adore and fear, tried everything to help me be unable to find mass”
“I usually lost weight, only to put it back on” was changed to “I typically mislaid mass, only to put it reverse on”
“Her biggest worry was that I’d be unhappy - that I’d be picked on and unpopular, and no one would like me because I was fat” was changed to “Her major worry was to I’d be unhappy - to I’d be picked on and unpopular, and no one would akin to me because I was fat.”
“Now that I’m a mother myself, I can completely sympathize with her motives, but these days my concerns about my children’s weight are far more serious than a little name-calling.” was changed to “Now to I’m a mother in my opinion I can completely feel sorry for by her motives, but these organism my cone timerns regarding my junior mass are far extra solemn than a little taunts.”
That was just the title and first paragraph. Believe me, it didn’t get any better through the rest of the article. Think about this: it will take me just as long to go through this spun article and make it read intelligently as it would have taken me to go through that PLR article by hand and make it unique.
Now if your goal is to simply throw up as many adsense websites as possible in the shortest amount of time, you might be happy with this. But if you want a site that people come back to, I would suggest you pass on the article spinners. And please don’t try to submit these articles to Ezine Articles or any article directory that reviews each article. You definitely won’t get them published!
